Hello! I’m Philipe Carvalho, owner and editor at Mirar Weddings.

I’m classically trained in film, holding a degree in Film and History from the University of California Santa Barbara, and spent years working in Los Angeles across both documentary and narrative productions—including work on theatrical films and PBS documentaries. That foundation shapes every decision I make behind the camera.

Documentary filmmaking taught me how to observe without interference, to anticipate moments before they happen, and to recognize emotion as it surfaces naturally. Narrative work refined my sense of pacing, composition, and cinematic storytelling.

I don’t direct moments. I anticipate them.
